Are you happy with Ryanair's response regarding their Web Check-In Fee? Your Response

"Cheap Flight????"

Daylight robbery without a mask ! Shocking and should be, as others point out......included at the initial stage of booking.

How it works 1

Ok sir so the total fare is £1. What? You want to take clothes with you on holiday? That's £20 to take some luggage..... oh you want to bring your luggage back with you too? So that's £40 in total for that option. Will you need to check in sir? Of course you will! Right, so there's a £5 charge, per leg, for the honour of doing the hard work yourself at home - and then you'll still have to queue at our “baggage drop desk” at the airport. What’s a baggage drop desk? It’s where all the other carriers have their “check-in” desk but you’ll have already checked in, all you will need to do is to show your boarding pass, passport and drop of your bag – but it’s definitely not check-in . Sit next to people you know on the flight? Hmmm, well we don't allocate seats, even though they all have numbers, but you can pay an extra £6 per passenger, per flight, to be at the front of the stampeding herd at the gate, that way you get a head start in the race to the aircraft for a seat.

Avoiding the question.

I'm not at all happy with their response, as it doesn't address the fact that I was just forced to pay €36 for a check-in. I had no option on a promotional fare, or to check in at the airport. Rip-off!

It is a rip off

They should just make their prices all inclusive. Nothing ois optional if you son't have the option to opt out.

Strange Logic

Well by the same logic they should be advertising all flights as free or £1 as you "could" choose one of those flights instead. Utter Ryanair nonsense... the price advertised should be that of the flight chosen. What really annoys me about all this playing around with charges is that the total fare even with the charges added is something I'd still be willing to pay, but this dishonesty annoys me so much that there's been times I've elected to pay more and fly with a regular carrier. I just wish that Ryanair would stop it's obsession with "headline" fares and be honest as most of the time their still the cheapest option.

Air Rage - Cause of

I can not think of another industry that could get away with those practices employed by airlines. The attitude to clients by low cost air lines really angers me. From experience, and by anectodal evidence, the worst is of course Ryan Air. Thier new policies, charging extortionate booking fees, unless you go to the effort of applying for a RyanAir card, and the ludicrous mandatory check in fees are the limit. We all despise pepople who engage in air rage. However, I firmly beleive that the growth of this phenomena is linked to the airlines behaviour and attitude. Everyone is stressed as soon as the booking procedure begins, then you have to carefully divide your luggage between your family to avoid more baggage charges, and then finally you are teated like the proverbial cattle when you arrive at the airport. One can reach a point where tempers are lost over the smallest thing, but this misbehaviour can be a result of these accumulative stresses.

Hmmm?

Having just visited the Ryanair website to look at their "Promotional Fares" (currently, as at 6/9/09, "1 million seats £9.99 one way"), I took a moment to read their T&Cs - the very first of which says "Fares don't incl optional Fees/Charges". Following the link to Fees/Charges, the very first fee is the £5 Online Check-In.

lie to me !!

Such deceipt should be prohibitted by law. They are a despicablebunch of conmen.
—Guest Dya

not really

the problem is not the amount but the fact that even frequent flighers had no idea that it had become "compulsary" to check in on line! there is no notice or e-mail saying so!

Wot Bollox

Typical lies from the lickspittles of the mad leprechaun himself. Pity Ryanair have such a monopoly of the routes we relly want to use, otherwise I'd travel with someone else
