Scam

Checked our suitcases on the baggage belt before the check in staff arrived and both cases weighed 14.5 kilos (did read the rules to the person who called us idiots). Strangely when put on same belt with check in girl at desk case now weighed 16 kilos !!!!!. "Take out or pay" was the exact wording used. The 2 girls on the desk were the most rude, ignorant and incometent staff it has ever been my misfortune to deal with. The other girl had already had a go at the man standing in the queue next to us presumably for being happy and smiling too much. The manager of Ryanair in Gran Canaria didn't want to know about the problem and blamed the Airport.

Arrogance

In pretext of being the cheapest airline , they are petty thieves. My flight from Bremen was unpleasant as i paid extra fees for non existant extra luggage and the girls at the check in point were laughing . come two hours earier but ended up entering last in the plane after having even paid priority boarding fees . Ryanair style charge us with all fairness , i would rather pay and get value for the money . I am from Africa but no airline has such poor services and later alone treats its customers that way , i dont think i can ever fly with you again

RyanAir Rude Staff

In Dublin airport, myself+partner had flight booked for Spain. The inept girl at the baggage area gave us th wrong time to check in.We still arrived in time more or less, last minute thanks to other idiot but were refused boarding. Its not just the refusal but the hostility the woman showed us.We were careful to be fully friendly+courteous. She couldnt have been more rude if she tried.Worse still her Ryan Air colleague,an oriental woman was openly aggressive,it was unreal. We finally had to return to desk+try book next flight. The Ryan Air girl on the desk, chewing gum and giving one word answers refused to even check when the next flight was. These people aare scum.Just look at staff to know what a boss is like they say, couldnt be truer in this case

Denied compensation after 9+hr delay

We are citizens of the US, and flew RyanAir recently, while on holiday in Europe. We were quite satisfied with their flights and onboard service, but on one occasion, the flight was delayed by over 9 hours, and we were routed to a different destionation, assured that we would be compensated for all expenses, and given a printout of the RyanAir office address in Ireland to contact for reimbursement. To our chagrin, the RyanAir office in Ireland reimbursed us less than 5% of our total expenses incurred due to the rerouting of our flights. Does anyone know how we can take this further, as the amount in question exceeds 500 Euros?

Miss Julianne Baker

Just arrived home from a 2 day trip from ireland on a Ryanair Flight. Done Online check in. 1 suitcase within measurements sizes of Ryanairs expectations. Security Checks fine no problems. Time to board plane and airline staff who were extremley rude Was told to to wait at the side no explaination as to why. Was then aske to weigh my luggage and it was 1kg over weight. Was told to pay 35 Euro I refused, Thankfully I was travelling with friends who were underwieght so they took my so call excess luggage, which according to Ryanairs is also not allowed. The Suitcase I was carrying was the same one I left England with and the contents the exact same no changes until I removed the bits to put into my friend bag. They do not care about their passengers they are just out to bleed us dry. Will never board another one of their planes again. Which is shame as I live 30 mins drive from Stansted Airport which is ideal and a lovely airport to use.

Aer lingus using ryanair planes

After paying aer lingus 510 euros for return ticket to vienna, i was gobsmacked to see a bloody cramped uncomfartable ryanair plane sitting on the tarmac, no advanced warning or sms to my phone, so this small tiny cramped flight for 500 quid, got something entirely different as to what i paid for, any suggestions what i can do?

ignorant ryanair staff

the ryanair staff are the most ignorant and arrogant people i have ever came across. they treat customers with no manners or respect. last time i was boarding the plane the flight attendant turned her head away n ignored me never even said hello or nothing, exact same thing getting off the plane. They seem to think the safety demo b4 take off is a big joke cuz they are all laughing like little silly stupid children. my view is that its dirt cheap n thats it. as for customer focus and respect and manners i give them 0 out of 10. They are experts at ripping off with extras, now they want to charge for takin a piss. id love to flush michael o learys head down the pan. if yur on low budget use them otherwise go elsewhere cuz there terrible

luton airport and ryanair

I had a disgraceful & disasterous experience at Luton Airport yesterday, Jan 4th 2011. I was booked on and had checked in (inc. checked-in baggage) for the 2.35pm Ryanair flight from Luton to Dublin. I had finished with checking in and security and was in the waiting lounge at approx. 12.45, in plenty of time for the flight. I meandered around the duty-free area not interested in buying anything but at all times keeping a close eye on the information screen waiting for the boarding gate to be displayed. The screen displayed "Wait in Lounge" which continued with no change which made me assume flight had been delayed despite no announcement at any time apart from the following: "for your comfort & safety, please remain in the waiting lounge until the boarding gate is displayed" or words to that effect. 29 checked-in passengers remained in the waiting lounge as directed. At 2.35pm, to our horror and dismay the information screen displayed "At 2.35pm, to ouAt 2.35pm, to our horror

Never again!

We have just come home after waiting at Edinburgh airport all day for a flight to Tampere. There were hourly announcements saying the flight is delayed further and further, until they cancelled it altogether at about 10 pm. Then they announced that you can rebook the flight online! But there are no more flights before xmas! There was no staff or even a desk for passanger questions. People were left stranded and crying, not knowing how to get home for xmas. I am gutted because we can't see my famil for xmas, but I also felt bad for passangers who were crying into their mobile phones. How can Ryanair do this? So much for promising on their website a few days ago to get everyone home for xmas. Scum!

Luggage problems

The boarding in Barcelona was awful. The hostess let me go after checking my European passport without any problems. Once my wife went through, she said her luggage was too big. When we showed her that it fit in the ryanair baggage check, she claimed it was too heavy. I asked for a scale, since I weighted the luggage at check in and was only 7.2kg, well below the Ryanair threshold. The answer to my question was that my luggage, which was let through without problems, was also too big and we had to check it in. I was very irritated because first she said my luggage was ok, and then change her mind. Second, since I did not want to have any discussions, nor pay for something that was not fair, I just threw away most of my wife's belongings. Funny thing is that I flew with Ryanair 7 times, and never had any problems with the very same luggage! This particular person stopped every single person with a US passport, claiming their bags were too big, although they were not, and let thr

Luggage Fees at the Gate

We used the same luggage on EasyJet etc. and they all had no problem with the size and weight, but apparently Ryanair doesn't agree. They waited until the very last minute at the boarding gate to tell us that we had to check our "HUGE" bags which would have fit just fine into the overhead bins. We had so much pressure and stress from the 4 staff yelling at us they were closing the gates and give them money that we just handed over the cash to check 2 bags. The lady told us it was 38Euro each bag... so is she pocketing the extra 3Euro? Not only are the staff rude and inconsiderate but they are thieves as well! Imagine if she's making 3-10 Euro off of every passenger! Thanks for the stress and extra fees Ryanair, the rudest airline ever.

Ryanair Scams Passengers

My spouse and I were denied boarding because as non-EU passengers, we did not have our boarding passes stamped by Ryanair agents prior to passing through security. Apparently, this is a Ryanair requirement for boarding (this is not related to airport security as we had passed through all airport security with no problems). This requirement for boarding was not clearly laid out in any correspondence from Ryanair prior to departure. We missed our flight and all later flights were booked. We had to pay Ryanair an additional £200 to fly out the next day and incurred expenses related to multiple airport transfers and non-refundable hotel fees. As if that was not enough, upon return, we were forced to check a bag that met weight and dimension allowances. We were told by the Ryanair employee, “It is up to my discretion which bags get checked.”
