The Tomatina Tomato Fight is the world's biggest food fight. It takes place on the fourth Wednesday of August in the village of Buñol, near Valencia. But what exactly goes on?

- 11pm (night before) Locals and tourists take to the streets for a night of drinking.
- 6am (on the morning of Tomatina) The first train leaves Valencia with visitors for the tomato fight.
- 9am (approx) The Ham Up a Greasy Pole is erected, just a little up the street from the town hall (ayuntamiento).
- 11am The Tomatina Tomato Fight begins. This is what everyone's been waiting for! The fight lasts for exactly one hour.
- 12noon A horn sounds to signal the end of the Tomatina Tomato Fight. Everyone must stop throwing tomatoes at this point. The police will intervene if you refuse to stop. Witness the Tomatina Aftermath.
