Plaça Sarria is the upmarket Barcelona district Sarrià's main square. The square is popular because of its weekend markets and some interesting shops and cafes.
One of the main delights of the square is its semi-legendary Foix pastisserie, which has a delicious array of confectionaries and sweets. It was founded in 1886.
The square also has a neoclassical church, the Iglesia de Sant Vicenç de Sarrià. It was consecrated in 1789, replacing the orginal romanesque building (1147).
As is typical of the most proudly Catalan communities in Barcelona, a Sardana dance is held on most sundays in the square. There's also an antique market on fridays and a book market on saturdays.
