Plaça de la Virreina is one of the prettiest squares in Gràcia, Barcelona. Beneath the 19th Century Church are a number of cafe terraces and there's a small market on sundays.

Most of the buildings in the square date back to the late 19th Century. The Sant Joan church was once an 18th Century palace, but in 1878 it was converted into its present day form. You can find a replica of the extinct palace along Las Ramblas. It's called the Palacio de la Virreina.
What To Do In Plaça Virreina
On Sundays you can peruse the market stalls. On weekdays the bars are a good bet for a tasty bocadillo, and in the evening the terraces fill up with couples enjoying a drink and tapa.
