Festival Highlights in November:
There are film festivals all over the country this month (eight of them!), though there are slightly more in the north than in the south. If you prefer your drama to be live, Madrid's performing arts festival, the Festival de Otoño, still has more than a week to run.
Jazz fans will also have a busy month, as both Madrid and Granada have major jazz festivals.
Weather in Spain in November:
There will still be sunshine in Andalusia and in the south-east of Spain, but central and northern Spaniards will be digging out their winter clothes.

- October 11 - November 9 Festival de Otoño, major performing arts festival in Madrid.
- October 20-November 4 - 17th Annual Horror and Fantasy Film Festival in San Sebastian.
- Throughout month - Madrid Jazz Festival. Check local press for details.
- Throughout month - Granada Jazz Festival.

- November 1-30 - Alcine Film Festival in Alcalá de Henares, near Madrid.
- November 2-12 - International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Madrid.
- November 3-11 - Seville Film Festival
- November 4-11 - Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Ourense independent film festival in Ourense, Galicia.
- November 9 - Almudena Day, patron saint of Madrid.
- November 10-18 - L'Alternativa Barcelona Independent Film Festival
- November 18-25 - Latin American Film Festival in Huelva, Andalusia.
- November 23-December 1 - Gijón International Film Festival in Asturias, northern Spain.
- November 27-December 2 - International Festival of Documentary and Short Film in Bilbao, Basque Country.
