Formerly a private collection, the art on offer at the Thyssen museum is among the best in Madrid.

  • What to Expect: Formerly a private collection (owned by the German-Hungarian Thyssen-Bornemisza family). A bit of everything, starting with medieval art (13th century) right up to present day.

  • Where?: On Paseo de Prado, 20-minute walk from Sol. Metro: Banco de España.

  • Opening Times: 10am - 7pm, Tuesday - Sunday
    Closed Mondays, Jan 1, May 1, Dec 25)
