Guided Tours of Spain and Morocco from Malaga

Spain and Morocco Guided Tours, departing from Malaga

By , About.com Guide

On this page you'll find a list of guided tours that you can take from Malaga, including day trips and multi-day tours around Spain and Morocco.

The tours on this page depart from Malaga city itself. Your options are expanded greatly if you can get to some of the resort towns to the west of Malaga, as even more tours depart from them, especially from Fuengirola (there is a direct train from Malaga to Fuengirola).

1. Day Trips from Malaga

Ronda. (c) Damian Corrigan

A day trip is a good way to sample a city without committing to an extended guided tour. You can stay in your hotel (usually you'll be picked up from there) and taken to see the sights before being driven back.

These are the most popular day trips from Malaga.

  1. Ronda
  2. Seville
  3. Granada
  4. Tangiers (Morocco)
  5. Cordoba
  6. Jerez and Cadiz
  7. Nerja

2. Two-Day Morocco and Granada Tour

Basically two day trips combined, with a small discount. You will need to have your own accommodation for this one.

Includes a guided tour of the Alhambra garden and fortress complex in Granada, as well as guided tours of both Granada and Tangiers, bus and ferry transport to both destinations and free time to explore each place.

3. Three-Day Tour of Tangier (Morocco) from Malaga

Tangiers. (c) Hotel La Tangerina

If you're going to go to Africa, you should spend more than a day there, right? There are several multi-day guided tours of Morocco that depart from Malaga. This three-day tour is the least rushed of them all, as you spend three days in a single city. Tangier doesn't have the wonders of Fes and Marrakech, for those you'll need one of the tours below, but it is the perfect introduction to the continent if you'd prefer not to spend too much time traveling.

4. Guided Tours of Morocco from Malaga

If just Tangiers isn't enough, then why not visit a few more of Morocco's most famous cities? These tours of four to seven days include many of Morocco's most famous cities.

All accommodation (four-star hotel) is included, as are guided tours of all the cities and several of your meals.

Personally, I would do the five-day tour, which sees the best cities in the fewest number of days.

5. Seven-Day Tour of Spain from Malaga

Toledo. (c) Damian Corrigan

This tour takes you to the best of Andalusia, plus Toledo and Madrid, in an action-packed week.

See the majestic Alhambra, the fabulous Barrio Santa Cruz of Seville, the Grand Mosque of Cordoba, the bridges of Ronda, the walled city and the art museums of Madrid.
