1. Take the Teleferico
Just getting to the Casa de Campo is an experience, as there is a teleferico (cable car) that carries you over parts of the city you might not otherwise visit.

2. Visit the Zoo and Aquarium
Madrid's zoo and aquarium in Casa de Campo has a dolphin exhibition, a petting zoo and lots of other animals and fish for anyone with an interest in the natural world.

3. Parque de Attraciones
The imaginatively titled Parque de Attraciones has a number of sedate rides for little kids as well as some scary ones for older ones.

4. Eat in the Paseo de la Gastronomia
The pavilions of the old exhibition center have been turned into a series of restaurants. Each building is in the style of a different region of Spain.

5. Walk Around the Lake
The lake in Casa de Campo gives a good alternative view over Madrid.
If you prefer to go for a swim, there are public swimming pools too.
