A lot of people say that they are disappointed by Madrid. They say it doesn't have as much to do as Barcelona. They'd be right, but Madrid has some excellent charms of its own. Madrid has more cafes and bars than Barcelona, more neat little plazas to enjoy a coffee in and it's generally a little quieter than Barcelona (though that depends on where you go). It also has some of Spain's most fabulous smaller cities nearby. To do everything in this list would take you a few weeks... even to have a good stab at it would take days.
