Question: What Does My Eurail Pass Not Cover?
Answer: The following items are not covered by your Eurail rail pass.
- Seat reservation. This is compulsory on most trains in Spain and costs 4€-10€ for 2nd class and some 1st class trains and 23€ in 1st class seats in AVE trains and where meals are included.
- Beds For longer journeys on night trains, you could pay up to 80€ for the use of a bed for just a second class bed. First class can be twice that price.
- First class supplement This might not always be available if your pass specifically indicates second class travel.
