Inter Rail and Eurail are the two main operators of train passes in Europe. Eurail will be taking over the running of Inter Rail from April 1 2007. They have not yet announced if they will be changing the types of tickets that InterRrail will offer.
Eurail is not open to European citizens or citizens of Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Russia and other countries that neighbour Europe. Such travelers should use Inter Rail instead.
