Hotels near Barrio Salamanca
If New York has 5th Avenue and London has Savile Row, Madrid has Barrio Salamanca. At least that's what the guidebooks say. In reality, though it does have the expensive boutiques where Victoria Beckham used to buy her shoes, it also has a lot of mundane chain stores too. It is an attractive area to spend your time, but it doesn't match the Paseo del Prado for beauty or the center for things to do. The area is well connected by the metro, so it is easy to get to the center from here, but you aren't likely to want to walk it.
