If you are just traveling to the cities of Granada, Seville, Cordoba and other cities in Andalusia, these guides are for you. Why carry around all the weight of a full
Guide to Spain which includes cities you're not actually visiting?
A guide to Andalusia from the 'other' big guide company. Contains all the same information as the Lonely Planet guide above, including maps, restaurants and hotel information. New 2009 edition.
Lonely Planet guides are among the best in the business and this guidebook is a lot smaller than their full guide to Spain. Contains detailed information on each province of Andalusia, including maps to all the cities and information on the sights, restaurants and hotels in each locality. You can't go wrong with this book.
2007 edition available.
Another comprehensive and regularly updated series. The advantage of this book over others on this page is that it covers the whole of southern Spain, including the region of Murcia, a logical addition that the other guidebooks should have thought of. From 2006.
A good guidebook from a reputable publisher, specifically aimed at those who will be spending most of their time in Seville, with only short periods outside of the city. 2008 edition.
These top ten guides are always fun and are great beach reading. No one wants to read reams of dense text when they've got sunstroke, so these top tens of everything in Andalusia(top ten tapas bars in Seville, etc) are perfect. 2008 edition.
The AA Spiral Guide series is excellent for those who know where they are going on their vacation. With easily removable pages, this book can be condensed to the bare essentials before you leave, saving space and weight in your suitcase. 2002 edition, so a little out of date now.
Pocket guide to Andalusia from the experts in pocket guides. Not as comprehensive as the above guides but perfect to slip in among your luggage without worrying about it taking up space or weight. Not updated since 2001, so a little out of date now.
