Pictures of Fisterra in Galicia, believed by the Romans to be the end of the world. Fisterra, or Finisterre is one of most westerly points on the Iberian Peninsula & forms part of the Costa da Morte - the Death Coast.
Fisterra was the ancient destination of the pilgrimage across northern Spain, before the Camino de Santiago took its present name, its Christian purpose and its final destination in Santiago de Compostela. It still represents a secular goal for non-Christians wishing to embark on the Camino de Santiago.
