Baggage Allowance for Budget Airline in Europe
Which airlines in Europe have the most generous baggage allowance?

By , About.com Guide

Airlines' baggage allowances vary greatly from airline to airline. Which airlines are most generous? See below.

Note: these baggage allowances are for checked baggage only. Airlines have a separate allowance for hand baggage.

These allowances are totals, not per bag. Where airlines let you pay for extra bags, this does not entitle you to a higher weight limit.

I asked Ryanair why they have the (joint) lowest baggage allowance in Europe. Read their response: Ryanair Baggage Allowance
