There is one main reason to go to Leon - lunch. Just as Granada is southern Spain's tapas heaven, Leon is the north's. There is also a nice cathedral, but other than that it'll be the food that will draw you here. It is the perfect quick stop-off between Oviedo to the north and Salamanca. The cathedral is about a 10 minute walk from the bus station. When standing facing the Cathedral, turn right and walk down the narrow street and you will ocme to to tapas area, known as barrio humedo.
