Like all 'menu del dia' in Spain, you have the choice of a 'first plate' a 'second plate' and a desert. A drink is also included. Note that I have been careful not to say 'starter' and 'main course' as this distinction is not made in Spanish (or Basque) cuisine. Read more on Eating Out in Spain.
At the Guggenheim restaurant, a glass of wine and a large bottle of water is offered, which was a welcome surprise. There is a small premium for ordering a wine other than the house wine. I took the Txakoli, which is a Basque specialty. Managing to be both sickly sweet and sour at the same time, I wish I hadn't. Stick to the house wine.
