Bilbao has a very confusing train system, with six different train networks to get your head around. The main stations in Bilbao are:
- Bilbao's main train station (for RENFE trains).
- The Bilbao FEVE narrow-gauge train station.
- The Bilbao Euskotren station
- Bilbao Bus Station
- Numerous Bilbao tram and metro stations
- Cercanias RENFE stations.
Bilbao Main (RENFE) Train Station
Estación de Abando Indalecio Prieto (formerly Bilbao-Abando),
Calle Hurtado de Amézaga 1, next to Calle Navarra and Plaza Circular.
Which Trains? Bilbao's main train station is for all RENFE services, including trains to Madrid, Barcelona, Burgos, Valladolid, Segovia, Haro, Logroño, Zarragoza, Lleida and Tarragona.
Bilbao FEVE Train Station
Estación de La Concordia de Bilbao (FEVE)
Calle Bailén, next to Puente del Arenal (a bridge).
The FEVE station is a short walk from the main Bilbao station.
Which Trains? The Transcantabrico and La Robla luxury train services depart from the FEVE station. All other FEVE narrow-gauge rail services depart from here, including trains to Santander and Leon.
Bilbao Euskotren Train Station
Casco Viejo Station

Which Trains? For trains to Guernica and San Sebastian. Change in San Sebastian for trains to the French border (Irun and Hendaye/Hendaya.
Casco Viejo is also a metro station. The Arriaga tram stop is across the road.
Bilbao Tram StationsThe very useful Bilbao tram connects the bus station to the Guggenheim, the main train station/FEVE station and the main Euskotren station.
Bilbao Bus Station
Estacion de autobuses,
Which Buses? For buses all over the country. Note that the buses to Santander and San Sebastian are quicker than the train.

Bilbao Cercanias Train Station
Estación de Abando Indalecio Prieto (formerly Bilbao-Abando), Calle Hurtado de Amézaga 1, next to Calle Navarra and Plaza Circular.
Which Trains? It is unlikely you will need to use the Bilbao Cercanias routes as it covers mainly Bilbao suburbs that are of little tourist interest.
