3. Cordoba, Seville and Ronda Weekend Break

Departing from Madrid, you visit Cordoba, Seville and Ronda over three days. This tour finishes on the Costa del Sol.

4. Bilbao and San Sebastian Weekend Break

The two main cities in the Basque Country are great for a weekend break. Just an hour apart by bus, you can take in the Guggenheim in Bilbao as well as the famous San Sebastian pintxos (tapas) and beach and still be in time for work on Monday morning!

5. Galicia Weekend Break

The main cities you'll want to seen on a Galicia weekend break would be Santiago de Compostela and A Coruña, but don't miss a trip to the lush green of the Galician countryside, as well as a visit to the <i>rias</i> (sunken valleys) on the coast.

6. Seville Weekend Break

Though you could do Andalusia's three biggest cities in a single weekend break, you'd be better off spending a whole weekend sampling the country's best tapas, Seville's magnificent cathedral and the Alcazar fortress and gardens. You could afford an afternoon in Cordoba or Granada if you get itchy feet.

7. Catalonia Weekend Break

Barcelona is an obvious weekend break in Spain, but the wider region of Catalonia is also worth a visit too, particularly Girona and the Dali Museum in Figueres.

10. Granada Weekend Break

Spain's best city tapas how they were meant to be done (that is, served free with every drink) and the Alhambra fortress (such an impressive sight it was a nominee for the recent New Seven Wonders of the World competition). However, there aren't many flights to Granada, so spending a weekend here is difficult.
