By Damian Corrigan, About.com

  1. Booking a Flight to Malaga
  2. Malaga is an important airport for budget flights within Europe. In October 2007 Delta Airlines announced they would become the first airline to fly into Malaga from outside of Europe by starting a route from JFK airport in New York.

For the best deals on flights with standard airlines, use an aggregator:

  3. Booking Accommodation in Malaga & the Costa del Sol
  4. For accommodation on the Costa del Sol, Venere.com has a great clickable map to help you choose your hotel. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a huge amount of hotels in Malaga itself. If you're looking for hotels in Malaga, use Travelocity instead.

  5. Book Guided Tours of the Costa del Sol
  6. Though most people only go to the Costa del Sol for the beaches, there is plenty more to see. Public transport is difficult on the Costa del Sol, so these guided tours (where transport is included) are ideal.

  7. How to Get to Malaga & the Costa del Sol from Madrid
  8. If you're trying to get to the Costa del Sol from outside of Europe, the nearest airport with suitable flights is Madrid.

The quickest way to Malaga from Madrid, even quicker than an internal flight is the high-speed AVE train which makes the 500km journey in two-and-a-half hours.
