Despite widespread reports in the press two years ago about the Catalan governement passing a law against bullfighting, there are still bullfights in Barcelona every Sunday througout the summer. The legality of bullfighting in Barcelona is a confusing topic, with most people in Barcelona oblivious to the news in the press that bullfighting had been outlawed and the man working at the bull ring describing to me the declarations by the Catalan government as 'propaganda'.
