Answer: The Barcelona Card is available for two, three, four or five days.The prices in January 2007 were as follows:

• Two Day Barcelona Card 27.50€ (13.50€ per day)
• Three Day Barcelona Card 33.50€ (11.16€ per day)
• Four Day Barcelona Card 38€ (9.50€ per day)
• Five Day Barcelona Card 45€ (9€ per day)

The price of the Barcelona Card is lot more reasonable than the Madrid Card, but it has a lot less included for free. This means that you'll need to spend quite a bit to make the savings. However, with good discounts on Barcelona's most popular attractions, it isn't difficult to get these savings.

The value of the card doesn't scale up greatly as you increase the number of days on the card. Unless you are sure you can easily fill five days with this card, I would recommend just the three- or four-day cards.

An advantage of this card is that you get free public transport, including complete use of the Barcelona Metro. This discount includes the train from the airport to the center, so it is worth getting your card before you arrive in Barcelona.
