The most famous event in August is the tomato fight in Bunol, near Valencia, where lots of grown men (and women) gather in the streets to throw tomatoes at each other. But for shear quantity of festivals in August, it would have to be Northern Spain, with the Santander music festival and other festivities in one of Spain's least explored regions.
