Happy New Year from me and everyone at About.com!
How do you celebrate New Year's Eve in Spain? The partying in Spain tends to start later than in many countries. The Spanish tend to stay at home until after the stroke of midnight, though some will make it down to the city's main square (often it will be the Plaza Mayor, but in Madrid, for example, Puerta del Sol is more popular).
Wherever you spend the stroke of midnight, make sure you have twelve grapes at the ready! Read more in my 'recipe' for a Spanish New Year: New Year's Eve in Spain
