Several people have been gored in the first four days of the Pamplona Running of the Bulls at the San Fermin festival, with a number needing hospital treatment.
This morning, the fourth day of bull runs, five Spaniards needed to be hospitalized, according to AFP.Yesterday, two British runners and an American were gored, says this article in The Guardian.
I have visited the Pamplona Running of the Bulls twice, watching three bulls runs from the safety of the sidelines and the balconies. It is a spectacular event, as this picture of a bull jumping over several bull runners can testify. But it is dangerous - every day of the event there are injuries, often seriously, and people do die. If you are visiting Pamplona in the next few days, check out my guide to the Pamplona Running of the Bulls. Though I have never run myself, I have got a lot of advice from people who have run, which can be found here: Bull Running Advice
