Events in Spain in September

Saturday September 1, 2007
Though the summer weather in Spain this year wasn't as fierce as it usually is, the areas that did experience extremely high temperatures will be pleased that September, with its more temperate climate, has arrived.

September is one of the nicest times to visit Spain. The shops and restaurants are open again (after many of them closed down for summer) and there's an all-round 'back to school' feeling in the cities.

The highlights this month are mainly in Catalonia, with the Festa de Santa Tecla in Tarragona and the Graus and Festa de la Merce events in Barcelona.
