Can't Get Accommodation for Tomatina? Don't Worry!

Tuesday August 21, 2007
With just a week to go until the Tomatina Tomato Fight, most of the cheap accommodation will already have been snapped up (but check first to be sure: Tomatina Tomato Fight Accommodation). However, that doesn't mean you won't be able to get to join in on the tomato throwing. A bus seat can make a reasonably comfortable place to sleep, so taking an overnight bus to Tomatina is always a possibility. The secret is to not start too close to Valencia. You want to be arriving in Valencia at approximately 6am, so you'll want to be getting on your bus at 1am at the latest (buses rarely leave any later than this anyway), which means starting from a city that is at least five hours travel away from Valencia. Take a look at the transport options available to you for Tomatina: Tomatina Tomato Fight Travel Options.

Alternatively, if you find sleeping just too passé, you could always party all night in Buñol like the locals do!
