Ten Days Till the Pamplona Running of the Bulls

Monday June 25, 2007
One of the most famous festivals in Spain, and without doubt one of the most bizarre, the Pamplona Running of the Bulls, at the San Fermin Festival, gets underway early next month.

Though much of the local accommodation will have sold out, it's not too late to organize a bit of time out from your trip around Spain to get to see at least one of the runs. Check out the Guide to Pamplona Running of the Bulls for information on accommodation, travel and other practicalities about watching the bull run. If you can get there a few days early, check out the Pamplona Running of the Nudes, a naked animal rights protest against the running of the bulls.

If you plan on actually running (something I do not advise), you really need to read this FAQ, as it has important tips from past runners, details of the route and a translation of the official rules that the authorities issue before the event.

If you can't make it this year, check out these Pictures from last year's Pamplona Running of the Bulls.
