Spain's Pedrosa Finishes Second in Spain

Sunday March 25, 2007
Spain's young hope in MotoGP motorcycle racing, Dani Pedrosa, finished second in today's Spanish GP. Spanish MotoGP fans had high hopes of the homegrown talent winning the race after he started in pole position, but it wasn't to be as seven-times champion Valentino Rossi took the victory.

MotoGP is immensely popular in Spain and many of the sport's leading riders are Spanish. In fact, the 250cc and 125cc championships are both being led by Spaniards, while Dani Pedrosa is currently third in the top category. If motorcycle racing is your thing, seeing a MotoGP race in Spain is a must.

Disappointed that you've missed the Spanish GP for this year? Have no fear, MotoGP is so big in Spain that there are actually three races in Spain over the course of the championship, with the Catalan GP in June and the Valencian GP in November. Check out the exact dates for these and other sporting spectacles in this Calendar of Major Sporting Events in Spain.
