Events This Week in Spain

The following events take place over the next week in Spain. Festivities in Spain are often not well publicised until shortly before the event takes place - often only approximate dates can be known in advance. If you are in the area of one of these festivals, check with the local tourist board.

• Until mid-Oct - Bienal de Flamenco, important flamenco festival in Seville.
• Until Sep 30 - San Sebastián International Film Festival in San Sebastián, surprisingly.
• Second half of August Carthagineses y Romanos. Cartagena (Murcia). Historical re-enactment of ancient battles.
• Sep 21-30 - Día de Campóo. Reinosa (Cantabria).
• Last week - Ubeda and Torremolinos, both in Andalusia, have their festivals.
• Sep 30 – Oct 6– Film Festival of Albacete
