Tropical Storm Gordon Leaves Spain More or Less Intact
Thursday September 21, 2006
Tropical Storm Gordon is moving on now from Spain on its way to the British Isles, leaving behind it some wet weather, a few blown over trees and one injured policeman in Galicia, but very little serious damage. The Basque Country was the last area to be hit by the remnants of the hurricane that hit the Azores but its passage was largely uneventful. Here in Salamanca we had some heavy rain but nothing more.
Hurricanes are very rare in Spain and never reach the epic proportions experienced in the United States. Read more on Weather in Spain.
