Day Trips from Barcelona

When all is said and done, a city is a city, wherever it is in the world. Which is why it is such a shame that so many tourists hop from city to city without ever exploring the countryside and villages around them.

To many, Spain is about Madrid, Barcelona and Andalusia. Two isolated cities in the center and north of the country and the real goldmine of places to go in the south. But Barcelona also has a number of excellent sights within three hours drive of the city - and many are even closer.
